10 Days Summer Challenge - Day 06: Tribal Nails

Happy Sunday Everybody!!!

Yeeeeah it's already the 6th day of our summer challenge...which not just means that the challenge ends soon, but as well that summer is soon over. Here in Finland the nights start to become cooler already and the weather starts to change. Guess in the end of october we will have snow again >_<

Back to business! Today is Tribal Day :) I just once did a tribal design in my life, last autumn for a 31 day challenge. Took me forever but it turned out ok - check it HERE :)

This time I did it less complicated and more girly and cute ^^ I saw a picture with a partly similar design in the internet and needed to try something like this. I love owls :D

I am pretty happy with the result even it stressed me in the morning, thinking what to do ;)

I used one average white polish as base and did one coat of Dollish Polish "You're a real Sweet Tart" on top. Normally I love these crelly white polish with it's multiciolored tiny hex glitter inside, I just shouldn't have used it for my tribal today :D That's why you can see some random glitter on my nails ^^

After I created some thicker lines and dots with Dance Legend "Spectrum", a pink very holographic beautiful polish.

The last step was, to get a black striper and create the final lines, dots and stripes.
I'm not very good in creating some steady non-shaked lines but yeah, it gets better I guess.

Hope you liked my little owl tribal and hope to see you back soon, at least for the next summer challenge design which will be posted on monday (evening I guess because I will start working again).

Dance Legend - Termo Trio 1 & Lucky 13 - Stupid Starfish

Moooi!

I have an exciting post for you today! When I bought my Dance Legend holographic polishes I as well included one of the awesome Termo Trio polishes which start to become very famous in the polish world.
Like the name is already telling, they don't just shift into 2, but 3 shades! Cold, medium and warm.

I took a bowl with ice-cold water with me in the garden and tried my very best to show you how this polish is working. Since it is a pretty hot day today the effect didn't last long, just a few seconds, but still it's awesome *_*

Oh, and I topped the polish with an awesomely cute new glitter I got yesterday, it's from Lucky 13 and is called "Stupid Starfish" *_* It's one of these polishes you see on a swatch and you want it IMMEDIATELY! It has a clear base with tiny purple microglitter, medium light green hexes, medium pale pink squares and pink stars. This could become one of my top 5 glitters ever <3

First a few pictures how this dance legend polish will look most of the daytime, without contact with hot or cold substance. Very pretty light violet / periwinkle.

Isn't the glitter cute??? *_*

And now let's come to the fun part: the cold water :)

This is how dark the polish gets in contact with cold substance. But, if I took if out of the water it immediately turned into a french manicure looking dark tip.

In this picture thumb and pinkie are average and the 3 other fingers show a cold gradient.

2sec after taking it out of the water....

...and around 30sec later. Fainted but still visible :)

I used 2 coats of the Dance Legend polish (awesome formula and pretty opaque) and one dabbed coat of Stupid Starfish (very good ammount of glitter and easy to fish for stars).

I hope you got an idea how the Termo Trio polish is looking like and that you enjoyed my pictures :)

You can purchase Dance Legend on their russian homepage and over Llarowe.
Stupid Starfish you can get right here.

Dance Legend - Fantastic Trip

Welcome back my dear polish addicts :D

Like promised, today I will show you my 2nd Dance Legend holographic baby. I as well have to admit that I "accidentaly" ordered 4 new ones from their russian page lol.
So I guess there will be a few more swatches in future :)

Today´s holo is called "Fantastis Trip", a peach-pinkish polish, which looks pretty nude in the shadow. A very interesting color, not so BAM in your face - and still it freaks out when it hits the sun <3

Check it out

And here is how it looks in the shadow - it was a little hard to capture but I think the first picture does it well.

Very lady-like, its't it? I adore these polish!

I used again 2 coats, with average base- and topcoat. There are no special procedures required, these holo is unstoppable, even without aqua base or with topcoat ;)

Again, you can purchase Dance Legends creations over their russian webpage: here ^^
OR over my alltime favourite polish-page Llarowe :)

Have a great day, here in Helsinki we have 26 degree and beautiful sun <3
See you on thursday with my 3rd Dance Legend swatch!

Dance Legend - Android

Happy Sunday!

It´s sooo hot today outside, but I somehow have nothing to do and slept a lot and stayed in my room. Boring sunday :) But at least I have my little blog to work on ^^

Today I have an awesome holographic polish to show you. Actually I have 3 of them - today is just the start ^^

Since a few month there is a new russian nail polish brand spreading like crazy, called Dance Legend. They are just amazing and have a very wide range of collections, from sand finnish to neons, nudes, glitters etc. But their holographic polish collection "New Prism" is just breathtaking!

The one I wear right now is called "Android", a grass green beauty with an amazing holographic effect.

But, let the pictures talk, shall we? :D Oh, the holographic effect in real was much stronger, my camera was just not able to capture it perfectly :)

And now 2 pictures how it looks like in the shadow. No holographic effect, but it's still a very pretty green. In artificial light it is shimmering already a little more.

I wore 2 coats of Android, with OPI Nail Envy basecoat and a fast drying topcoat, it's a very opaque polish. The topcoat did not dull the holographic effect at all. As well you don´t need a special aqua basecoat. These Dance Legend holos are VERY easy, no special preperation and care needed :)

I purchased mine direct on the official russian homepage. It´s a very nice service and low shipping - it just took around 8 weeks until it arrived. That's the only minus. But I knew it :)
You can as well wait for a new restock and grab yours from Llarowe.

Enjoy the last weekend-day ^^
