Dollish Polish - Team Salvatore

Welcome dear polish-addicts ;)

I am super super excited about today´s swatches because 

1) It´s  a Dollish Polish polish - my favourite indie maker, and

2) It´s related to one of my favourite tv shows ever: The Vampire Diaries *_*

Please, tell me that you love it, too, pleeeeease :D

The polish has the awesome name "Team Salvatore", and ment are both Salvatore brothers Damon & Stephan. Awww so cool ^^

Ok, I try to calm down now and show you what I am actually talking about.
The polish has a clear base and is PACKED with siver microglitter, red microglitter, black small hex glitter, silver small hex glitter, medium silver hex glitter and medium red square glitter - just perfect!

Team Salvatore is very easy to apply. You get a lot of glitter on the brush and don´t have to fish for it. I didnt get the large square glitter on all my nails, but on a few which was totally enough.
Dry time was pretty fast. I topped it with one coat of Essie Good To Go.

And my last credits go to the beauty which I used as a base color:
OPI "Her majesty´s secret service" - a super beautiful grey/blue/shimmer polish, opaque in 2 coats <3

New Year Gradient

Happy 2013 everybody!!!

I hope you had a great change of the years and celebrated with friends and/or family like me :)

For our new years party I wanted a nail design fitting to my top, which was black, grey and white.

So... I created a gradient with a LOT of glitter, party sparkle ^^

Polishes I used:

• Flormar - No. 392
• Wild and Crazy - Anchorage
• Essence - 142 I´m the Boss!
• Sally Hansen Insta Dri - 24 Night Flight

I started with 2 coats of a silvery glitter polish (Flormar) with very fine milled holographic glitter.
Prettty ;)

After I picked up my make-up sponge and painted on 4 different polishes.

Silvery-glitter (same color as above), shiney light grey, sparkly dark grey and black.

Then I sponged on the color-mix on my nails.

After I painted over a little of the glitter which I started with and sealed everything with a topcoat to blend the colors together.

31 Day Challenge 2012 - Day 28: Inspired By A Flag

Hey Everybody :)

I am back ^^ Still ill but way better and now I was able today to do my flag-nails, since I am already 24h too late :D

I choose the flag on Finland since it is just the most bautiful country in the world <3
I live there now since 4 years and I think it is the most wonderful experience I ever made. I hope to stay many more years :)

Polishes I used:

•  O.P.I. "Yodel Me On My Cell"
• Sally Hansen Gem Crush "Showgirl Chic"
• Sally Hansen Insta Dri "Whirlwind White"

I used 2 coats of the beautiful dark shimmery blue and used tape and white to create the finnish flag on 2 of my nails. Then I choose the amazing silver/blue glitter polish to create a glitter-tip on the other 3 nails.

I think it turned out super nice and I am sad that I have to remove it already.

Glitter Gal - Turbulence & French Tip

Hello!

I had no idea what to create. And when I am in such a mood I normally end up using one of my favourite holographic polishes :) In the end I created at least a frech tip in glitter purple and actually I was VERY happy with the result.

I am so sorry that all the pictures are in bad outside light or just artificial light because there was just no sun showing up at all :( It was even raining and grey brrr... So the holo is not easy to see on the pics, but I can just tell - it was awesome :)

  

        

Flormar Supershine No. U09                                       Glitter Gal "Turbulence"                 

I used 2 coats of glitter gal - still you can see the white of my nail tips but I anyway covered it with another colour later :)

Then I used my scotch tape to tape off the tips and painted on the purple polish.

I really like how it turned out :) The purple glitter is stunning in the sunlight (which was NOT there when I took the pictures >_<)

I love these Glitter Gal polish. It is just incredible.

Fancy Star Nail Design

Good Morning!

Today I have a cute fancy scotch tape design to show you. I created a star with scotch tape in 2 diffferent colours and versions - it is very easy, just sit down, relax and enjoy the following pictures ;)

2 coats of O.P.I. in sunlight (very beautiful colour, opaque in 2 coats and super shimmery)

Then I applied a coat of matte polish. I know, it is not super matte, but ok for my design ;)

How I placed the tape (enlarge to see it very well)

First I tried to create a star with the light blue China Glaze polish. In the shadow it turned out pretty nice.

But in the sunlight...well, see:

You can hardly see the star ;)

So I decided to give it a try with silver polish on my other hand ^^

Somehow I placed the tape on the wrong side of my nails, I just realised it later - but I really like it this way and the silver version is anyway WAY better! 

Okay, I know these are not really stars any more, still it looks cool ^^

• P2 Matte Victim top coat
• China Glaze "Blue Island Iced Tea"
• O.P.I. "Yodel Me On My Cell"
• Classics Metallic Silver

China Glaze "On Safari" Glitter Polishes

Happy Sunday!

I just received the 2 glitter polishes from the brand new China Glaze collection "On Safari" and wanted to show them to you as fast as possible :)

These are the only 2 glitters in the whole collection and of course I needed to get them since I am a glitter freak ^_^

I Herd That - A gold/copper polish with really tiny glitter and holographic particles

I´m Not Lion - Silver/light gold polish, same texture than "I Herd That"

The polish was very easy to apply and needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Dry time was fast, it needs definately a top coat to create a smooth surface and more shimmer.

And: it was actually very easy to remove - for all of you guys outside who are afraid of using glitter polishs (and remember: ALWAYS use the aluminium-foil technic to save time, cotton pads and nerves ^^)

Here you can nicely see the tiny glitter partices :)
