All Star / Converse Nail Tutorial

Heeeey!

Today I want to show you how to create easy super cute All Star / Converse shoes on your nails :)

Ever since I saw the first pictures of these designs in the internet I fell in love and always wanted to re-create it. For these tutorial I decided not to use bright colours or black like everybody else did yet, but just a very nice taupe shade.

These are the polishes I used for the design:

(Left to right)

• Golden Rose No. 66
• Golden Rose Nail Art Polish White
• Golden Rose Nail Art Polish Black
• Essie "Chinchilly"

Okay, lets get started!

First you paint your nails in a colour of your choise. I used a pretty taupe colour by Essie.

Then you paint the tip of your nails with a solid white polish.

After you pick your dotting tool and create 3 or more tiny silver dots on each side of the nail.

Then you pick a white nail art polish or a thin brush and average white polish and create 2 x-shapes from dot to dot.

Then pick again your dotting tool and dot a slightly smaller black dot inside of the silver ones, and after paint a small black line on your white nail-tip.

Finnish with a topcoat and you are ready!

French Manicure with China Glaze "Luxe And Lush"

Hey Everybody!

Today I have a simple quick manicure to show you, which still looks very elegant in my opinion.

It's China Glaze Luxe and Lush, out of the Hunger Games collection. A clear base with holographic shredded pretty glitter.

So..I basically just painted my nails with 1 coat of Luxe and Lush and later created a white french tip with a fast drying white and some scotch tape ;) Yeah, I am a lazy person :D

Since Finland hasnt seen a tiny bit of sun in the last 2 days you now have to live with some shots in artificial light ^_^

Luxe And Lush was pretty easy to apply and you get a ton of flakies on your brush, dry time was very fast. I would definately recomment a topcoat because it feels very rough without :)

Essie "A Cut Above"

Happy Friday 13th!!!

Today I will swatch my newest polish for you, Essie "A Cut Above" of the luxeffects collection.

It is a dark pinkish glitter topcoat, stuffed with small and medium hexagonal glitter particles.

I decided to layer it over pure white polish.

2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Whirlwind White

I used just one coat of the Essie polish, it is really stuffed with glitter :)

 

Even I liked these combination very very much, I decided to give it a try with a matte topcoat.

I think I like these combinatione even more :) It is so elegant and cute.

China Glaze "Rated Holographic"

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all doing well :) Today I show my so far last polish from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection to you, Rated Holographic.

It looks kinda reddish in the bottle and is more like a mix between dark pink, peach and light red on the nails. Very soft and beautiful, with a holographic shimmer.

It is not one of the strongest holographic polishes I own, and you just see the effect in direct sunlight. But I love the colour in every light-situation. And THIS even I normally really dont like red polishes ^^

Okay, lets start with the TONS of pictures I have for you (sorry, I just could not decide which ones to take :D )

The rest of my pictures is taken in direct sunlight 

Like all the China Glaze polishes from the Kaleidoscope Collection it applied like a dream. Full coverage with 2 layers and very fast dry time.

All these pictures are taken WITHOUT a topcoat.

I just love these cllection so much... I wish I could get more *sigh*

Tiger Glitter Polishes

I went shopping saturday and was the first time in a new store in Helsinki called Tiger. 

I thought it might be a finnish concept but actually it is a denish brand with more than 150 shops in whole europe ;)

HERE you can choose your country and check if there is one close to you :)

Okay, back to topic. I bought 2 no-name Tiger polishes there, 2€ each. They looked interesting so I had to give it a try. And I have to say: I am very positive surprised!

Both polishes were opaque with 2 coats and there are a lot of tiny sparkly glitter and a few holographic particles inside.

Negative was just that the dry time was very slow and the smell is really chemical - but hey, for 2€ I cannot really complain :) And both glitter a lot in the sun, it was just hard to capture the sparkle.

Finnish with a topcoat to seal your polish and make it even more sparkle.

Oh, one more fact. I have the feeling that No. 41 looks pretty close to China Glaze´s Atlantis :D Just without that much holographic glitter....
