Vintage Rose & Polka Dot Nail Design

Happy Monday!!!

Well...I actually hate mondays, but who doesn't? :D We have to do the best out of it - like for example posting a new nail design which I did yesterday ^^

I already twice did vintage rose designs, once for a friend with purple base and pink roses, and once last summer with a grey base and rosé roses (check it out HERE).

So this time I actually wanted not every nail to be the same, so I googled a little and saw so many designs where the accent nails had polka dots or stripes - and I went for dots :)

Check it out ^_^

And with flash

Polishes I used:
Turquoise = Wet n Wild "I Need a Refresh-Mint"
Pink = Golden Rose No. 221
Dark Pink = China Glaze "Fly"
White = OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls"
Green = IsaDora

It is actually so easy to create, because the roses should not be perfectly round. You will never find a round rose in nature. So the shapes should be a little asymetric. Later you drop one tiny dot of a darker polish into your roses and swirl it a little with a toothpick or a needle. It creates a more 3D illusion and gives some life.
Then you grab a dotting tool for your polka dots and add some green tiny leafes on your roses - DONE :D

Hope you liked my design and see you hopefully soon again ^^

Cute Goldfish Nail Design

Hey girls :)

How are you doing?
I recently joined a finnish nail art page on facebook, which sets every sunday a new nail art challenge to create, and then you can upload your result there for the others to see.
Check out the page HERE.

This week's topis is: Orange Nails

I first thought "uuuugggghhh" because I never was a huge orange lover, but then I thought about one amazing foil-like bright orange I own and started to create little easy goldfishes with it as a base :) And: I really liked it ^^ The kids in my kindergarten loved it, too :D

Polishes I used:

Wet n Wild fast dry "9021 Orange" - an AMAZING foil bright polish, it just blowd me away :) Perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

Golden Rose No. 213. for the scalation. I just painted them on with a thin nail art brush. Very easy to do :)

For the eyes I used OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" & China Glaze "Smoke & Ashes"

That's it! Have a nice evening ^^

10 Days Summer Challenge - Day 05: Sunset Nails

Hi Everybody!!!

Today was a grey, rainy, ugly, horrible day and I was boooored! How perfect that I needed to create a new design for today's challenge: Sunset Nails!

I never did a sunset design but always wanted, this is why I really love nail challenges. You are kinda "forced" to do stuff and you learn a lot of new styles and techniques :)

I wanted to create something else than JUST palm trees, so I googled a lot until I found one blog which showed little black water decals, nail stickers which looked like camels, in front of a sunset gradient. So I thought "it cannot be sooo hard to freehand draw such" :D Well...it was tricky but doable.
Cat doesn't need stickers!!!! Tschakka!

So, enough writing, let's take a look at my pictures.

I really have to say: I'm so proud of myself :D
When I just looked at the gradient, I didn't like it at all, but now with the black silouettes it is awesome!

First I painted all my nails 2 coats of average yellow. I used Lumene "Get Color".

For the gradient I sponged on 4 colors from dark purple to yellow.
Purple = Wet n Wild - "Disturbia"
Red = Wild and Crazy "Colorado Springs"
Orange = OPI "Flirt a Bit"
Yellow = Lumene "Get Color"

After I used a topcoat and then I picked my "magic wand", a black nail art pen. These things are so awesome to create tiny detailed stuff on nails. I use my black one most of the time. For other things I like as well brushes, but sometimes nail art pens can be such a huge help :)

I freehanded palm trees, camels and pyramides and cleaned up the mess around my cuticles. READY!

Hope you liked it and maybe you leave me a comment ^^

See you soon, and check out the other girls before you leave!

Dollish Polish - Put A Ring On It

Welcome Back Everybody!

Today's post is already 3 weeks old, as you probably can tell on my nail shape, but I really really need to show these polishes to you :)

As a base color I choose my probably most loved dark purple, Wet n Wild "Disturbia". It's so deep and eggplant like, just woooow *_*

Since this was still not enough for me, I topped it with one dabbed coat of Dollish Polish's "Put A Ring On It". These polish is made of tiny golden glitter, golden holographic glitter and little black hex glitter in a clear base. Gorgeous!!!

Disturbia is a super opaque purple color, you could probably get away with just one coat. I choose two thin ones.
Put A Ring On It is very easy to apply, just dabb on the polish. You will get a huge ammount of glitter on your brush, easy deluxe. Dried very fast.

I topped everything with "CND Speedey"

You can grab your bottle of Put A Ring On It RIGHT HERE, but be quick, if it is sold out it will never be restocked again. Right now there are still a few available :)

Enjoy your weeeeeeeeekend :D

New Essence Glitter :)

Hi everybody!

Today I finally tried my new Essence Glitter Topcoat I brought from Germany and I am pretty happy with it ;) But judge for yourself!!

Polishes I used:
  • O.P.I. - Skull And Glossbones
  • Essence Special Effect Topper - 13 Mrs And Mr Glitter
  • Wet n Wild Megalast - Disturbia
In all of my flash-pictures Disturbia actually looks way more blue than it is is real life. Actually it´s a very plum polish - dark and beautiful with a bit of a hidden shimmer.
Here you can see it´s actual colour a little better:

I started with painting all of my nails with 2 coats of Skull And Glossbones - btw one of my most loved O.P.I. polishes ever! It is so damn pretty :)

After I painted the plum polish in 2 coats on my middlefinger and ringfinger and topped the rest of my nails with the Essence Glitter.
It is made of yellow-goldish, blue and black big hexagonal glitter pieces. A little tricky to paint an even coat, you have to fish a little for the glitter and drag it around, but for me it wasn´t a huge problem :)

I really like how the manicure turned out ^^

Enjoy the rest of your week!!!

Nail Designs for Others :)

Welcome back on my blog :)

Today I wanted to show you the nail designs I did for my mum and 2 of my best friends while I was in Germany. It is somehow so exciting for me to do somebody else´s nails. And it is tricky, too, because you have no feeling at all any more how to paint and I always make a big mess around the cuticles and on the sites :D

Elegant Gold Design

My mum doesn´t like colouful or fun designs, so we agreed to use a nice silvery gold shade and top it with some tiny golden glitter :) I think it looked very pretty on her.

  • Technic Golden Glitter
  • Flormar

Green Striping Tape Manicure

One of my friends is crazy about all kind of green shades, so she got a nice manicure where I used a few pieces of striting tape :) I am really in love with these color combo *_*

  • OPI - Don´t Mess With OPI
  • Wet n Wild Fast Dry -

Pink Gradient

Hot pink with glitter - what else do I have to say :D She has a very good taste =^_^=
  • OPI - Pirouette My Whistle
  • China Glaze - Dance Baby
  • China Glaze - Sweet Hook

See you soon!!!

Easy Christmas Tree Nails

Ho ho ho!!!

I hope you all enjoyed christmas very much and celebrated with your family and friends :)

I am right now in Germany to see my family and seriously brought more than 50 polishes with me because I could not decide which I may need or not :D My dad said already "child, I love you, but you are crazy"

Yesterday I went to see one of my grandmas and I created christmas tree nails for her.

Polishes I used:
  • O.P.I. DS - Extravagance
  • O.P.I. - Don´t Mess With OPI
  • Claire´s Polish - Copper & Gold
  • Wet ´n Wild Fast Dry - Party of Five Glitters
  • Wild & Mild Nail Art Pen - Red
  • Wild & Mild Nail Art Pen - Yellow
  • Essie Good To Go as a topcoat
First I applied Extravagance as my base color. It is so damn sparkly and perfect, almost a 1 coater :)

After I used scotch tape to create a triangle shape and painted over with my green polish.
After I removed the tape I painted on my pointer and ring finger some of the multi-glitter and on my thumb, middle finger andn pinkie I used the gold & copper glitter - but always just for the trees.

As an extra detail I tried to paint on some candles with the red and yellow nail art pens, but this is just optional.

I finnished with gluing on a tiny star on top of my christmas trees and applied a fast drying topcoat.

Enjoy the rest of your week!!!
