China Glaze "Kaleidoscope Him Out"

Hey Everybody!

Today I swatched my (for now) last polish of the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection for you guys.
I definately want to try to get more on Ebay, but they are horribly expensive x__x

These one is a super beautiful muted light/medium blue, very elegant and the holographic effect is, like always, just awww. I just love chunky holographic polishes!

Shadow, outside

Holographic effect in sunlight

I used 2 coats of polish in every picture. The colour was very easy to apply and the dry time was surprisingly quick.

I know that holographic polishes normally look best without top coat, but so far there is no chippig on my nails yet :)
Don´t you just love it?

See you soon!

3-in-1 Swatch & Tape Design

Halloooooooooooo :)

I am so sorry that I did not post now 3 days but my beloved camera broke on monday and I was so so desperate not to have it any more *cry*
1) because of my blog and
2) because I am right now in a very lovely summer cottage here in Finland and there is so much I really still want to take pictures of
BUT
Today I just got a tiny one from the childrens grandma (I am au-pair right now) and this was SO cute from her ^^ She said she saw how desperate I was in the last 3 days and she wanted me to have her old one as a gift

Ok, back to business now:
Today I have a 3-in-1 post for you :D
Swatch of 2 polishes and an easy tape design of both colours.

Here I swatched both polishes in the sunlight and crated on both hands an easy tape design :) I think it looks very cute and is just SO easy.
You just cut thin stripes off your scotch tape and paint over with a different colour, remove asap and READY ;)

Green polishes I used

O.P.I. "Thanks A Windmillion" &
O.P.I. "Don´t Mess With OPI"

Since I was in such a great mood today because of the new camera, I as well offered to my 2 au-pair girls Louisa & Eva to do their nails ;)
All they basically wanted was "something with glitter on top", and both wanted every hand different :D

Here are our results

Louisa´s left hand :)

Louisa´s right hand :)

Evas left hand (the right one looked almost the same) :)

Wish you a very nice day without rain like it is here right now - grrrr >_<

Diamond Manicure

Welcome Back!

My today´s nail design is a very simple tape-manicure.
Since my last swatch was very sparkly I wanted to catch these sparkle as a diamond on my nails.

How to create the design

China Glaze "Gothic Lolita"
I used these colour above my tape.

You will need any kind of scotch tape. I used as well a pen to make it easier for myself to draw the diamonds.

Take some of the scotch tape and draw one diamond for each nail, and create a long holder where you can later grab the diamonds and remove them from your nails.

This is how it looked after I applied each diamond on every nail.

Paint your complete nails with a colour of your choise and directly after remove the diamond tape quickly from your nails.
Then I grabbed a tiny brush and painted the top of the nails where you still can see a small part of the holder with my purple polish.
Use a fast drying topcoat and you are ready to go :)

See you soon everybody!

China Glaze - Techno

Hey Everybody!

Since today it is midsommer in Finland, Juhannus how they call it here, I felt like I could need some celebration sparkle on my nails :)

One of my favourite glitter-polishes ever is China Glaze "Techno". I used it over one coat of silvery polish and the result was woooooooooow :D

One coat of the silver polish

One thick coat of Techno and your nails turn into a disco :)

Techno is a very beautiful glitter polish. It has very tiny and big round holographic glitter paticles and sparkle like crazy - I just love it!

These polish definately needs a topcoat to make the sparkle even more shimmery and give you nails a smooth finnish.

Golden Rose No. 66

Here can you find a video I took after taking the pictured!!!

I will create a design out of these glitter on sunday - so stay tuned :)

Hyvää juhannusta kaikille

Video for Glitter Gal "Turbulence"

And again ^^

I got a request to really try to show you the holographic effect of Glitter Gal´s "Turbulence" on a video.

It is one thin coat of Turbulence over O.P.I.´s "Care To Danse"

What do you think about creating videos for special polishes like glitters, flakies or holographics next to normal swatches? :)

O.P.I. "Care To Danse" & Glitter Gal "Turbulence"

Heeey!

Today I have a 2-in-1 swatch for you guys ;)

First I will start with OPI´s "Care To Danse", which is a very sheer pinkish/purple polish from the new NYC Ballet collection.
It is perfect for french manicure and if you just want something very light on your nails.

I used 2 coats for the first two pictures, and 3 coats for the last two, to show you how it looks like.

2 coats, shadow

2 coats, sunlight

3 coats, shadow

3 coats, sunlight

Dry time was not so amazing with 3 layers and I bumped some holes inside while waiting unfortunately, even after I appliad a fast drying topcoat... I am just NOT made for waiting and being carefull :)

Somehow I was not perfectly happy with the result and wanted to pimp it :D

So I applied one thin layer of Glitter Gal´s "Turbulence"
These colour is one of my favourite polishes ever. It is not really made to wear on its own because it is sooo sheer. Mostly for layering over other polishes to turn them into holographic polishes.
And I have to say - the effect is breathtaking! In real even better than on the pictures:

I took all pictures in sunlight because in the shadow or inside the holographic effect is not really visible. Like most of the holo polishes in general.

I guess I have to take a video or something to show you more about the effect :D

Anyway, see you soon, take care!

Wet n Wild Megalast "I Need A Refresh-Mint"

Hey!

Today I swatched a polish which was requested by 2 girls. It is the Wet n Wild Megalast "I Need A Refresh-Mint"
The name is not cool at all since we all may know that there is a China Glaze polish called Refresh Mint, but the color is very very nice. Take a look:

Sunlight

Sunlight

Shadow

After I took O.P.I.´s "Pirouette My Whistle" on top

Sunlight

Shadow

The formula of these polish was thick but easy to handle. I used one thick coat on my hands, but I guess 2 thin ones do the same job - it is nicely opaque.
Dry time was average and I anyway used a quick dry topcoat.

I just LOVE turquoise colours - it absolutely screams "SUMMER" in your face <3

Oh, and about the "Pirouette My Whistle" - I just love it! So elegant and cute and awww ^_^

What do you think? :)
