Purple & Pink Half Moon Manicure

Happy Tuesday!!!

How are you guys? I am exhausted from work but still did a new nail design today because my old one totally started to fall apart :D

Polishes I used:
  • Rimmel 60 Seconds - 610 Pompous
  • China Glaze - Sweet Hook
  • Dollish Polish - Wicked Wario

I started with one coat of my dark purple polish - is is very opaque and has such a beautiful shimmer :)

After I picked a special scissor I bought a few days ago at my local TIGER shop. It is so awesome for half moon manicures!!

So I cut some average scotch tape with my scossor placed in on the bottom of my nails and painted over with the light pink polish. I used 2 quick coats this made it opaque.

This is how it looked like after I removed the tapes:

Now I grabbed my purple Dollish Polish color. It is very tiny round purple glitter in a clear base. And from time to time you find some green and yellow hexagonal glitter pieces or very rarely some white square glitter.
I painted these glitter all over the pink.

Here a close up shot into the bottle:

I am pretty happy with the result of my manicure. I love the scissor and will still try a lot of other color combinations :)

Take care!!

Glitter Harmony

Happy Sunday!

I cannot sleep, like so often, so I decided to write a quick new post for you guys :)

Polishes I used:
  • Flormar Supershine - U09
  • China Glaze - I´m Not Lion

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze - I´m Not Lion, and it is just such a perfect polish! It sparkles like crazy and is almost opaque in one coat! It dries more sand-like, but with a good topcoat ( I use normally Essie - Good To Go with such sandy polishes) it will turn into diamond dust!

Here 2 coats without topcoat - already pretty!

After my goldish polish dried I started to create an easy line with striping tape, and added some simple dots with a tiny dotting tool. It wasnt a very hard nail design, but still like it - the color combination is very pretty ^^

Like always, the purple polish turned very blue in my pictures. I have no idea why all my cameras keep doing this to me >_< It´s actually way more plum-like. Very very beautiful and sparkly <3

I am very excited, just ordered 5 new polishes from my favourite indie-polish maker Dollish Polish. She is so awesome and her creations are outstanding! I own 2 bottles already (Putting On The Ritzzz & Wicked Wario), and I cannot wait for the new glitter shades to arrive *_*
Of course I will swatch them later for you!

I hope you will have a great weekend :)

Abstract Brush Stroke Manicure: Blue

Hiiiii Everybody!!

Omg....Are you as well so stressed like me? I FREAK OOOUT!!!
I seriously need a distraction or I will explode soon. So.. I guess I focus on my nails and tv-shows lol.

A while ago I saw on 2 great nail blogs a very cool, easy and awesome technique called "Abstract Brush Stroke Manicure"
Basically it looks like you spend hours on your nails, but it is actually very fast and soooo cool and easy to do :D

I saw these manicure with neon- and autumn colors in the internet, but was in such a "blue-mood" yesterday that I searched for all kind of great, useful blue polished I own and created the whole manicure based on one color - and I LOVE IT!!!
Ok, enough talk: lets get started!

Polishes I used:
  • O.P.I. - What´s With The Cattitude?
  • O.P.I. - Suzi Says Feng Shui
  • Essence Colour & Go - I´m Bluetiful
  • O.P.I. - Yodel Me On My Cell
  • China Glaze - Calypso Blue
  • Claire´s Polish - Blue Iridescent Glitter

I started with a coat of normal white polish, just to make the colour "pop" more :D It doesnt matter which brand you use.
The describtion of the Abstract Brush Stroke Manicure basically said "You simply use the brushes from the polishes and apply the colors semi-randomly, keeping an eye on balance and depth"

I felt that I should start with the darkest color first and stop with the lightest, even this was not the case in the 2 manicures I saw before - and I think it turned out pretty cool :)
And: it´s so fast! Every polish I picked I applied with a few strokes on all my 5 nails and went on with the next color.

The glitter looks useless in my pictures with flash - but under normal daylight or artificial light it has such a beautiful blue shimer, very gentle and not immediately to realise.
Here you can see it´s own color a little better.

Soon it´s weekend: my only motivation right now :D

See you later!!

Retro Stripes

Happy Sunday!!!

I hope you guys have had a great weekend - mine was awesome :)
Spend yesterday with my best friend here in Finland and painted my nails while sitting on her kitchen table ^^ Unfortunately it doesn´t turned out so clean like I wanted it to look like, but since I haven´t had striping tape with me I painted all lines freehand with a little nail art brush.
I still really like how it turned out ^^

Polishes I used:
  • Wild & Mild Nail Art Pen - White
  • Rimmel London - 045 Misty Jade
  • O.P.I. - Cuckoo For This Color
I painted on 2 coats of the dark beautiful teal O.P.I. polish. It was almost opaque with already one coat.
As you probably can see, my polish got tiny little bubbles >_< But this is just because I used a new cheep fast drying polish on top, which obviously was crap :D The polish itself dried without any bubble.

After I picked my nail art brush and tried to create as straight lines a s possible with the mint green polish. Then I painted one thin line on top with white - and that´s it :)
Especially from far away I love my nails right now - even it is not perfectly painted ^^

Have a good new week and see you soon!

Lush Laquer - Pink Panther

Hiii everybody!!

Today I wanted to show you a new indie polish I ordered from US. It´s one I always always wanted to own and I watched the bookmarked links at least once a week - just the shipping price to Finland was always the reason that I decided not to order... it was more expensive than the polish itself :/
But  finally, for christmas, I got it :D

It´s Lush Laquer "Pink Panther"
Basically a clear base with TONS of tiny pink & medium pink glitter, tiny white & big white glitter and tiny black and big black glitter. Soooo wow!

For my manicure I used pink panther over a sheer pink from O.P.I. - Privacy Please

It was almost opaque in 2 coats and I love it as a base for these firework of colors :D

I had to drag the glitter a little bit around on the nail, but it was pretty easy to apply.
You may have to thin the polish a tiny bit, but for me it was workable :)
I used just one coat of Pink Panther - it is really STUFFED with glitter!

I am totally in love with these color-combo - hope it will last a while :D

Enjoy the rest of your week and don´t let others stress you!!

New Essence Glitter :)

Hi everybody!

Today I finally tried my new Essence Glitter Topcoat I brought from Germany and I am pretty happy with it ;) But judge for yourself!!

Polishes I used:
  • O.P.I. - Skull And Glossbones
  • Essence Special Effect Topper - 13 Mrs And Mr Glitter
  • Wet n Wild Megalast - Disturbia
In all of my flash-pictures Disturbia actually looks way more blue than it is is real life. Actually it´s a very plum polish - dark and beautiful with a bit of a hidden shimmer.
Here you can see it´s actual colour a little better:

I started with painting all of my nails with 2 coats of Skull And Glossbones - btw one of my most loved O.P.I. polishes ever! It is so damn pretty :)

After I painted the plum polish in 2 coats on my middlefinger and ringfinger and topped the rest of my nails with the Essence Glitter.
It is made of yellow-goldish, blue and black big hexagonal glitter pieces. A little tricky to paint an even coat, you have to fish a little for the glitter and drag it around, but for me it wasn´t a huge problem :)

I really like how the manicure turned out ^^

Enjoy the rest of your week!!!

Nail Designs for Others :)

Welcome back on my blog :)

Today I wanted to show you the nail designs I did for my mum and 2 of my best friends while I was in Germany. It is somehow so exciting for me to do somebody else´s nails. And it is tricky, too, because you have no feeling at all any more how to paint and I always make a big mess around the cuticles and on the sites :D

Elegant Gold Design

My mum doesn´t like colouful or fun designs, so we agreed to use a nice silvery gold shade and top it with some tiny golden glitter :) I think it looked very pretty on her.

  • Technic Golden Glitter
  • Flormar

Green Striping Tape Manicure

One of my friends is crazy about all kind of green shades, so she got a nice manicure where I used a few pieces of striting tape :) I am really in love with these color combo *_*

  • OPI - Don´t Mess With OPI
  • Wet n Wild Fast Dry -

Pink Gradient

Hot pink with glitter - what else do I have to say :D She has a very good taste =^_^=
  • OPI - Pirouette My Whistle
  • China Glaze - Dance Baby
  • China Glaze - Sweet Hook

See you soon!!!

New Year Gradient

Happy 2013 everybody!!!

I hope you had a great change of the years and celebrated with friends and/or family like me :)

For our new years party I wanted a nail design fitting to my top, which was black, grey and white.
So... I created a gradient with a LOT of glitter, party sparkle ^^

Polishes I used:
  • Flormar - No. 392
  • Wild and Crazy - Anchorage
  • Essence - 142 I´m the Boss!
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - 24 Night Flight

I started with 2 coats of a silvery glitter polish (Flormar) with very fine milled holographic glitter.
Prettty ;)

After I picked up my make-up sponge and painted on 4 different polishes.
Silvery-glitter (same color as above), shiney light grey, sparkly dark grey and black.
Then I sponged on the color-mix on my nails.

After I painted over a little of the glitter which I started with and sealed everything with a topcoat to blend the colors together.

I hope you will have a happy new year and will paint your nails like CRAZY :D
